ONIVERSE is looking for a dynamic Retail Business Analyst Intern to join its headquarters in New York, NY!

Reports to: Senior Commercial Specialist

Location: NYC

Position Type: Full-time internship (4–6 months), with an immediate start date

Hourly Pay: $25/ hour

\n

Job Overview:

\n

The Retail Business Analyst Intern will support the Commercial department across business performance, retail operations, and cross-functional initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in gaining broad exposure to how a fashion company operates and grows.

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Run and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports
\n
• Maintain department files, trackers, and databases
\n
• Review data for accuracy, identify inconsistencies, and flag issues
\n
• Build and update basic Excel reports and analyses
\n
• Help prepare presentations and recurring business reviews for senior leadership
\n
• Manage communications with retail stores and sales teams
\n
• Support basic POS troubleshooting and system maintenance
\n
• Assist with ad hoc requests across HQ teams
\n

\n

\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Recent graduate or current student pursuing a degree in Business, Management, Economics, or a related field
\n
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
\n
• Comfortable working with data and learning new systems
\n
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies
\n
• Organized and able to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities
\n
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
\n
• Full-time availability preferred (5 days a week)
\n

Excel Skills

\n

An Excel assessment will be administered during the interview process.

\n

Candidates should be comfortable with:

• XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP and SUMIF/SUMIFS
\n
• Conditional Formatting
\n
• Basic formulas, data validation, sorting, and filtering
\n
• Building simple reports from raw data
\n
